On the Road - Final Night in Washington

Midway RV Park - Centralia, Washington

On our way from Washington to Oregon, we spent one night in Centralia, which is halfway between Seattle and Portland. This stay was quite different from the previous nights' experience at Friday Creek Campground. Instead of a large campsite, we were sandwiched right next to RVs on either side.

Midway RV Park was home to permanent residents with their potted plants and decorations adorning their sites. It felt like a mini neighborhood with paved roads, concrete sites, and manicured grassy spaces. There would be no campfire tonight 🙁

In the morning we treated ourselves to breakfast at Judy's Country Kitchen located right at the RV park. Since we don't have a car with us, it's nice to be able to take advantage of restaurants we can walk to.

The waitresses were all super friendly, the decor was patriotic and old-timey, and my peach-topped waffle was very tasty. Judy was switching out the Fourth of July decorations for summertime flowers while chatting with the regular customers who were playing a game of Yahtzee. I imagine the regulars were residents of the RV park. We'll leave them to it, gotta hit the road again....
